The Chief of Police may issue an identification card to retired or former police officers of this Department who qualify for a retiree California CCW and/or the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA) purposes. When a retiree or former officer qualifies for both certifications, such certification will be displayed on a single identification card. The California CCW certification will be valid for 5 years; however, the LEOSA certification is valid for only one year.
